CACTUS
Our CACTUS Programme is a physical training, activities, and self-discipline initiative supporting rangatahi to build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self-belief.
Based in Milton and delivered through Project Bruce, the programme runs in term four, three mornings a week. CACTUS provides young people with opportunities to challenge themselves in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Through structured physical training, teamwork, outdoor activities, and personal development, participants are encouraged to strengthen both their physical and mental wellbeing. CACTUS focuses on building fitness, self-esteem, motivation, discipline, and respect while helping rangatahi develop valuable life skills and positive habits that extend beyond the programme itself.
The programme aims to empower young people to recognise their potential, step outside their comfort zones, and develop the confidence to take on new challenges within their schools, whānau, and communities.
CACTUS is about more than physical training — it is about creating connection, encouraging growth, and helping rangatahi discover what they are capable of achieving.
